Why Are Children’s Portraits so important?

Did you know that a children’s portrait sessions can improve your child self esteem? Kids grow and mature so quickly, and having the ability to capture those milestones changes as they happen is an amazing thing to be able to reflect on.  It’s important for your children to see images of themselves and feel encouraged by their photo on the wall and their presence in your home.  A framed portrait positioned in the home serves as a daily reminder of ‘this is where I come from, and this is where I belong. Everyone has a phone camera in their pocket these days, but it’s no substitute for the real thing. A professional family portrait you can proudly hang anywhere in your home.

Portraits allow children to develop a sense of self-awareness. It builds on feelings of love and belonging and acceptance beyond their physical presence. It’s a great idea to have portraits of your children displayed in their bedroom so it can be one of the last things they see before they sleep and the first things, they see at the beginning their day. As a big kid myself, I relate to Children well and make relationships easily. I have years of experience in childcare, and I have my diploma in Childrens services, which I believe gives me the skills to work with young children from all backgrounds and get the best smiles and interactions captured on camera.
